About Stopia
Stopia is a web game where you stop a running timer right on the target time. You can change everything, from the screen design to the text, sound effects, judging rules and rankings, so it's ready to use at events, in class or on stream.
What it can do
- Judging: target time, tolerance (percentage or custom), and strict judging with no tolerance at all
- Rounds: countdown before the start, automatic next round, random target every round
- Effects: blind mode that hides the clock, dramatic reveal, success particles, custom sound effects
- Design: themes, fonts, colours and gradients, a slide-style editor for moving elements, plus images, text boxes and shapes
- Records: results saved by player name, a ranking screen and CSV export
- Broadcast: an output window for projectors and OBS, with transparent and chroma-key backgrounds
- Input: keyboard, gamepad, touch and mouse
Principles
- No install, no sign-up: Just open the page and play.
- Your data stays in your browser: Settings and results are never sent to a server; they're stored only in the browser you're using. To move to another computer, save a
.stopiafile and open it there. - Free: Every feature is free. Running costs are meant to be covered by ads, which sit only at the sides of wide screens so they never cover the game.
Who makes it
Stopia is built and run by an independent developer, sub9707. Feature ideas, bug reports and partnership enquiries for events or streams are all welcome by email. Feedback goes straight into the next update.
